Behind the Chair: Why I Created This Space

For years, the most meaningful conversations of my week have happened in a salon chair. Conversations that start with hair and slowly unfold into life — motherhood, relationships, work, self-doubt, joy, and the quiet things we don’t always say out loud.

I’ve always loved talking with women. Asking questions. Listening. Sitting with stories as they’re shared in real time. Over the years, I realized that what happens behind the chair is about so much more than hair. It’s about connection, trust, and creating a space where people feel comfortable enough to just be themselves.

As my life and career have grown, so has my appreciation for these moments. I’ve watched women navigate change, celebrate milestones, and carry heavy seasons — sometimes all in the same appointment. And in many ways, I’ve grown right alongside them. These conversations have shaped how I see beauty, balance, and what it really means to show up for one another.

I created Behind the Chair as a place to gather those reflections. A place to share the thoughts, ideas, and conversations that stay with me long after the appointment ends. Some posts will be about hair, some about style, and others about motherhood, relationships, or simply what’s been on my mind that week.

This isn’t meant to be perfect or polished. It’s meant to be honest, thoughtful, and real — just like the conversations that inspired it.

If you’re here, I’m really glad you are. I hope this space feels familiar, comforting, and maybe even a little inspiring.
