Behind the Chair: Hair Should Be the Last Thing You Worry About
Hair is deeply personal. It’s part of how we show up in the world, how we feel about ourselves, and how confident we feel walking into a room. And yet, I’ve always believed it should be the last thing you worry about — not the first.
Over the years, I’ve seen how easy it is for hair to become another source of pressure. Trends move fast. Social media tells us what’s “in,” what’s “out,” and what we’re supposed to want next. But real life doesn’t move that way. Most women I work with aren’t looking for perfection — they’re looking for ease.
What I care most about is hair that works with your life. Color that grows out beautifully. Styles that still look good months later. Hair that earns compliments long after the appointment, not just the first week. Longevity matters, because life is busy enough without constantly worrying about maintenance.
There’s a big difference between loving beauty and feeling ruled by it. I believe hair should support confidence, not create more stress. It should feel thoughtful, customized, and wearable — something that quietly works in the background while you focus on everything else that matters.
We’re already hard enough on ourselves. Between work, family, health, and the mental load we carry, hair shouldn’t add to that weight. It should be something that feels steady and reliable — something you don’t have to think about every day.
When someone leaves my chair, my hope is simple: that they feel more like themselves. Comfortable. Confident. At ease. Because when hair feels right, it gives you one less thing to worry about — and that matters more than any trend ever will.
